August 15-16, 2015: Cedar Creek Open – A-Tier

The last few years of the Cedar Creek Open have been amazing! The players, volunteers, and sponsors have come together to make one of the best events in the midwest. Fun courses, great amenities, and HUGE payouts (check them out here) for both pro and ams have really set the CCO apart. Outdoing the last few years is going to be a huge task, but we are up for the challenge!
This year, the Cedar Creek Open has once again joined the PDGA's SuperTour as a two-day A-tier event. We are thankful that the CCO continues to grow and become one of Minnesota's signature events. Read on for more specific information regarding the event.
We already have lots of added cash and prizes. This year's Open Champion will once again take home over $1000, and amateur payouts will remain huge. Check out past payouts here.
All Ams will also receive a nice player's pack. This year's player pack has not been determined yet, but last year's player pack included: one CCO high-performance polo, one CCO flexfit hat, one CCO tournament stamped disc, one mini, one lanyard, free entry into the ace pool, free entry into all side games, free water on the courses during all rounds, and a few other goodies.
The tentative format will be four rounds of 18-holes. Two rounds each day - one on each of our two courses. Pin placements on both courses will change between the two Saturday and Sunday. About 20 holes will change in total. It will be like playing 4 different courses.
There will also be plenty of side action throughout the event. During Friday check-in there well be flex-start doubles events on both courses and three skills competitions (accuracy, putting, and mini-putting). Those who cannot make it on Friday will still have a brief window to make their way into the finals. There are even opportunities during the rounds to get win some extra prizes. There will be CTPs on every hole for AMs on Cedar Creek East and card winner prizes for AMs on Cedar Creek West. We hope to continue our Double-Up challenge as well.

The following pool restrictions will be held until 1 month before the event. After that, if there are any openinings left, they will get filled from a waitlist or on a first come, first serve basis.

Pre-registration: We are doing online registration ourselves again this year, which means smaller service charges (paypal still charges a little). However, there will be an additional fee of $10 for day-of registration, so please register online. Its cheaper!! Last year filled 3 weeks early, so day-of registration is probably not an option anyway. Online registration available here!
